Veterans Village Project Approved by Eagan City Council!

We are thrilled to share an exciting update regarding our Veterans Village project! On Tuesday, December 17, the Eagan City Council unanimously approved all four motions for the project with a 5-0 vote.

If you'd like to watch the discussion and vote, we've included a link to the City Council meeting here: City Council Meeting Recording. Be sure to check out the thoughtful remarks from Mayor Mike McGuire and Council Member Paul Bakken between the 53-57 minute mark.

Here’s a meaningful quote from Mayor McGuire:
"I also take great notice that the church has been particularly strategic about how they have wanted to use this space, and I congratulate the church for that vision. I know you guys have looked at a number of different opportunities to use that land for good, and I think you've done a really fabulous job of living your mission in this. I am very supportive of it and appreciative of the work that was done to try to get it at least as close to ordinances without sacrificing the mission."

This approval marks a major step forward for Veterans Village, and here’s what you can expect next:

  • The purchase agreement amendments, including easement agreements, will soon be finalized.

  • A closing date will be set as soon as possible.

  • Lennar intends to begin construction in the first quarter of 2025!

We are so grateful for your ongoing support, prayers, and commitment to making this vision a reality. Together, we’re creating a space that will provide meaningful support and resources to our veterans and their families.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward, and thank you for being part of this mission.
