Tree Removal Along South Border Easement
We wanted to share some news with you on a significant project affecting the pipeline easement along the south border of our church property. Earlier this week, we were informed by a contractor from Timberline Clearing that Northern Natural Gas will be removing trees within the easement, which extends up to 25 feet on both sides of the neighbors’ fence.
On our property, this will include the removal of 11 spruce trees, 1 oak, 1 walnut, and 1 maple. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the year or early in the new year, depending on scheduling. The work, completed by Timberline Clearing and funded by Northern Natural Gas, is expected to be completed by the end of the year or early in the new year, depending on scheduling. Additionally, all large shrubs and trees within the easement area—including those in our neighbors’ backyards—will be removed.
Looking ahead, all future plantings in the easement will need approval from Northern Natural Gas. As a congregation, we hope to explore creative ways to thoughtfully use this space (and the wood these trees will provide) while honoring our mission of stewardship and care for our property.
