Ministry Update
Dear Friends,
We all are confronted with the dilemma of how to respond in these challenging times. we take so much comfort in knowing that while we are physically apart, we are in the midst of this challenge together. God promises to hold us together and to be in our midst. We will continue to pray for one another, to worship simultaneously from our own homes, and to encourage each other as best we know how. We are aware of the fact that there are people in our community that have not received adequate communication with regards to our life as a congregation. We are working on ways to provide more opportunities to connect within our congregation and ask for your grace for any shortcomings.
For now, these are the key points to our life together:
Until further notice, all physical activities of the church are postponed. We will not be having any worship until such gatherings are permitted by the Minnesota Department of Health. This means there will be no in-person worship services (including weddings and funerals).
We will gather online for worship at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays for Lent. We will be using YouTube Live as long as possible. We have registered for a Zoom account in the event we can no longer broadcast from Mount Calvary.
We need you to contact us if you are not able to participate electronically. We will be glad to set up phone calls to touch base with you and to make sure you are receiving the support that we can offer. You may contact Pastor Tom directly at home (651) 686-4028 or Pastor Kelli at (805) 405-9930.
We will be setting up and hosting check-in times on Zoom for prayer and mutual support. Katie Lintelmann will be publishing these events with a login link. Read more on Zoom on the back.
We will continue to offer our financial support to our mission partners through these times. We appreciate your regular support of our life together. Online giving and automatic giving continue to be greatly appreciated. We will be collecting the mail once a week on Thursdays for those that send offerings via mail.
Through this all, we will continue to seek ways to care for one another and to be church. We appreciate your support and your understanding as we navigate how to lead at such a time as this. we continue to be grateful for you and our life together.
With Love,
The Staff of Mount Calvary
