Welcome!

MUSIC STAFF

I began my work in the music ministry at Mount Calvary in the fall of 1986. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Augsburg College and my Master of Arts in Worship from Luther Seminary in 1991. I am an Associate in Ministry with the ELCA. I have studied organ with Stephen Gabrielson, Howard Don Small, Dean Billmeyer and John Ferguson. As Cantor, my responsibilities include worship planning, directing the sanctuary, youth and alleluia choirs, leading God’s Children Sing; and overseeing the directors of the children’s choirs and hand bell choirs for both adults and youth.

I have three adult children, and four grandchildren. My favorite things to do are, bike, ski, read, walk, babysit our grandchildren, and play tennis.

Christine Lees - Director, Praise Choir

I have been involved in liturgical music since grade school when I started accompanying services on piano. I have studied piano, guitar and flute and spent a year studying music education at the Catholic Univeristy of America in Washington DC. During college, I directed choirs for our campus litugies. After college I directed a junior/senior high youth choir at Visitation Church in Minneapolis and ran their yearly Christmas program. Since 2010, I have led the Mt Calvary preschoolers in Sunday School music. It is a true joy for me to sing and share music with this age group and I love getting to know the children and their families!

Mary Jane Pedersen - Accompanist, Joy Choir

My membership with Mt.Calvary has been forever, 46 years, and I've been involved with all the music programs ever since. I'm currently the Joy Choir accompanist, sing in the Sanctuary Choir and play in the Calvary Carillons. Music here at Mt. Calvary is a great ministry and has been my support for the many ups and downs of my life.

Alanna Teragawa - Director, Calvary Carillons

Alanna Teragawa has been directing handbells for 15 years, ringing bells for 25 years, and continues to be very active in both the regional and national Handbell Musicians of America organization as one of its Handbell Events Coordinator.

Liz Lindner - Director, RING & Rings of the Lord

I have been directing our two youth handbell choirs (RING and Rings of the LORD) since 2008, and I was also one of the original members! In 2015 we added a third youth bell choir (ReBELLious). I have been a member of Mt. Calvary since I was confirmed in 2000. I graduated from Burnsville High School in 2003 and earned my BA in Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2007. I live in Eden Prairie with my husband Matt and son, Evan. When I am not at school or church, I like to read, play silly board/card games with friends, and spend time with my family (my parents and younger siblings are also members at Mt. Calvary!).

With a major in music in my college years, followed by a degree in early childhood education, I worked as a preschool teacher for much of my life. Directing the Joy Choir brings my love of music, my love of young children, and my love for Mount Calvary all together! This choir was named long before I became a part of it in 2002 but I love that the name, Joy Choir, describes this group so well. We are a joyful choir!

Camille Buddecke - Accompanist

Camille Buddecke has been involved in music in general since she was 4 and church music since she joined her first choir at the age of 6. She spends much of her time teaching piano lessons, and accompanying the Alleluia, Youth and Sanctuary Choirs. She enjoys playing the piano, family dinners, vacationing with her family, and celebrations with her extended family.
